At Mass Mobile Makerspace, we strive to provide the highest quality hands-on learning experience for any child who loves to design and create in playful ways. We believe all children have a natural curiosity to figure out how things work and to make things move. We strive to foster that creativity through innovative STEM experiences.
Founded in 2024, Mass Mobile Makerspace is a small startup company based out of Plymouth, Massachusetts serving students and families in New England. We are a leading provider of innovative experiences in our industry and are proud of to serve our community and remain dedicated to our core values of innovation and creativity in education.

This course will introduce your child to Tinkercad, a free, web-based 3D design software, which will be the basis for creating 3D objects. I will walk them through the fundamental steps on how to design. Students will design an object of their choosing to be printed. Suggestions will be recommended. Printed objects take 45 minutes to 3 hours to print so they will be mailed to students. A 3D printer will be on -site.
This workshop takes 3D printing to a more complex level. Students will learn how to design more complicated objects, understand the techniques of overhang, support and explore making useful objects to solve everyday problems. Students can choose from creating a buoyant boat, an earbud holder, assistive device for someone in need or their very own idea! Projects will be printed off-site and brough to the last session to be tested, used and admired!
This course will allow your child to use LEGO’s most current robotics kit, Spike Prime! This kit is web-based with various engaging lessons available to students. I will facilitate and assist your child to program and build the robots. We will begin with a basic hopping robot and then your child can make it their own by experimenting with modified legs and arms, even sensors! Internet access required.
This workshop takes a deeper dive into what LEGO Spike Prime has to offer. Students will explore more complex projects by using sensors and lights. Students may be challenged to create a robot that solves a problem or meets a need. Should be taken after the Robotics 101 Session.
This activity is perfect for students who would like to explore breadboards and circuitry. Using PiperMakes PICO kit and a laptop, students will design circuits and test them while moving through engaging Minecraft-like virtual worlds.
This is a true STEAM experience! Students combine use of a Makey Makey plug and play circuit board and conductive materials like play-doh, pennies, water, carrots, foil tape, even their friends, to complete circuits and play games. The possibilities are endless with Makey Makey.
Fun Fact! Makey Makey was created by JoyLabz at MIT.
These activities do not involve internet or computer access.
This STEM experience combines sustainability with engineering to have students learn about wind power and design, create and test wind turbine blades out of various materials. We will use Vernier Lab Equipment and box fans to test out the turbines the students create. Students keep their wind blades (does not include wheel hub). This is a low-tech experience.
Students will build a car powered by a balloon using standard car parts and upcycling common household objects. We will test the cars on various surfaces to learn about friction and speed. Students will walk away with a car that they had pride in designing and building. This is a low-tech experience!
Students will use common household items along with batteries and a hobby motor to design and create a scribble machine. Your child can test out their machine on large butcher paper and swap out markers and crayons to see how many different designs their machine can make. Warning, spontaneous battle bots may ensue!! Your child will keep their scribble machine. This is a low-tech experience!
Students will use paperboard, straws and tape to construct simple marble runs. Add funnels, tubes, cardboard and dominoes for more fun. The creations are endless! Your child will keep their marble run. This is a tech- free experience!
*These activities include a $5 materials fee per student.
